6 month update

This site has now been up for 6 months!

I’ve received a lot of feedback from readers and I deeply appreciate everyone’s comments. I’m proud to say that in the first 6 months, I’ve posted 25 articles, had 566 unique visitors to the blog and 1,500 pageviews. This is through word of mouth, a minimal social media presence, and organic search engine growth, with no paid advertising, SEO, or other drivers of traffic. I hope to continue posting quality, enjoyable articles while growing the readership organically.

Self-promotion is certainly not my forte, but today I took yet another step in embracing social media: A Frugal Doctor now has a twitter account.

Long-time readers of the site might also notice that I updated the Articles page. Squarespace makes it easy for anyone to build a site, but there are certainly some quirks to it which are not obvious to beginners. To make a long story short, the old homepage was also the blog page. I’ve made a new homepage which looks similar, and the blog page is now the articles page. The reason for doing this is because I finally got around to adding tags and categories to my articles, and this will let people search posts by category from the articles page. As the site accumulates more articles, I felt that the ability to search and categorize would become increasingly important over time.

I intentionally hide website updates from the rest of the site so as to not mix them with normal articles. If you’ve found this post regardless, you have my sincerest thanks for being such a diligent and dedicated reader. Happy investing!
